Founded in 2021, newcleo develops advanced modular reactors (AMRs) of Generation IV, cooled by liquid lead and fuelled by recycled fuel. Its goal is to close the nuclear fuel cycle and produce cleaner, safer and more sustainable energy.

In December 2023, Rütschi joined the newcleo Group. With 5,000 pumps in service in 150 reactors, mainly in Europe, and projects in Asia and South America, Rütschi brings unique expertise and becomes a key player in newcleo’s nuclear programme.
